Kathy Bartos

    

Kathleen A. “Kathy” Bartos, of Waukesha, was born to eternal life on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Froedtert Hospital surrounded by her family and friends at the age of 57 years. She was born in Milwaukee on August 11, 1955 the daughter of Albert and Caroline (nee Cesar) Bartos. She was a 1973 graduate of Marshall High School and then earned her degree in nursing from UW-Milwaukee in 1978. In 1999 she went on to earn her master’s degree from Cardinal Stritch University. On September 9, 1978 she married Steve Hooper at Our Lady of Sorrows in Milwaukee. She started her career working for St. Joseph Hospital and Mount Sinai and then worked for Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls, Medical Associates, Allergy Associates, St. Francis Hospital, St. Mary Hospital and for two insurance companies. She retired in 2010 from St. Joseph Hospital where she worked as the quality improvement specialist. Kathy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she sang in the church choir.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Steve Hooper of Waukesha and their son Jim Hooper also of Waukesha, her mother Caroline Bartos of Milwaukee, her sister Laine (Steve Mlekoday) Bartos of Milwaukee and her mother-in-law Ellen Hooper of Woodstock, Georgia. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father Albert Bartos and her father-in-law Don Hooper
