In memory of ...

Kim Heaton

Kim got a job working at UPS just after high school.  He worked very hard, starting at the bottom of the ladder as a sorter (sorting the packages at 2 AM in the morning) - and after 5-6 years became the youngest part time supervisor they ever had.  We got married in Sept of 1977 and built a brand new house in Glendale.  Kim eventually left UPS and started his own trucking company - just a few trucks that traveled to LA and back to Wisconsin and Chicago too, and did very well.  We had no children but just a huge adorable old english sheep dog named Waldo - Kim named his company the same name.  Kim and I used to take the dog with us on the trips to Chicago - he loved going along - just so the doggie bones came along too and his bowl or bottle of water.

Kim and I divorced in 1986 - so I kind of lost touch - he liked to go with his buddies to the local bars and go bowling and work on the trucks.  Kim passed away in March of 1993 - due to complications of the liver.

We did attend the 10 year reunion downtown and had a blast!  Kim's parents still live in the same adorable house not too far from Marshall on 50th street.  Kim has a brother and sister in law and they have 2 children and were living in Germantown WI the last time I heard from them.

Kim's best friend in High School was Jim Flannery - and me - Linda J. Sabec - also class of 73.  We meet our senior year when Kim was driving around school in his hot maroon colored fastback Mustang with the huge tires on the back.
